Hope all is well,

In case you were wondering; yes I am still alive and well

I apologize for my absence, but it was needed to throw together this next generation compilation of breath-taking and awe-inspiring funkiness!

This little piece is a recording I did earlier today. I wouldn’t make you guys wait for nothing….these are some of the new sounds I’ve been experimenting with and have really come to appreciate for it’s beauty. I’ve had a lot of great reactions the last few months with these types of beats in my local area of Pensacola. I would like to think that all of you will enjoy it as much, if not more.

As always, your feedback is not only appreciated, but crucial in helping me develop my sound and readying it for your audible pleasure!

Dionisis Kotsiras aka DJ DenKo born in the city of Athens on 16/9/1971.    At the age of 7 started to listen to Radio stations keeping notes about artists & songs.    At the age of 9 he bought his first Vinyl “The Police - Zenyatta Mondatta”.

In the early 80’s he first heard Kraftwerk from one of his cousins but never thought he would listen samples of their music in the future & a few years later he discovered the best two groups for him : The Cure & The Smiths but never stopped listening also to other styles of music.  In 1988 first listened to some Acid House tracks & was exited until 1989 when a new club in Athens opened changing the dance scene in Greece.   FAZ club was there & was one of the greatest in Europe at that time.  Techno was also there & Djs like Petros Kozakos (Resident),Aris (Resident),Ricardo Da Force from KLF(Resident) & many guests like Paul Oakenfold,Fabio,Leo Mass,Grooverider,Carl Cox, Joey Beltram, Dj Rap & more influenced Dionisis to start Djing.  The dream of Faz ended in 1992 !!!

Dionisis still keep spinning vinyls until today playing mostly Progressive house music in Private parties only for happy ppl & friends.  His proper job has nothing to do with music, he is working as an Area manager in a big import company in Athens selling BEERS imported from all over the world with brands like Miller Genuine Draft,Pilsner Urquell,Veltins,Strongbow cider,Woodpecker cider,WKD & more.

Since 2006 dj DenKo supports his good friend dPen promoting his tracks & spinning with him in some good gigs.   In 2007 dj DenKo pushed his talented friend John Moore a professional Violin player & teacher to start producing good progressive house music.  From that time they produce some deep sounds together just for fun & for their sets !!! In 2008 he became a Resident on Danceradio having his own Show named “Violet Skies” playing nice melodic progressive sounds.   Nowdays dj DenKo with his Egyptian friend Hassan Rassmy take part in a Remix Contest for Klik Records with two remixes on Dousk & Nikos Diamantopoulos.

Well here we are again, this month it took me some time to get my show up due to some uncontrollable laziness, and some chronic procrastinating, so my apologies to you all. With that out of the way, i can now tell you how excited i am about this show, since its one of those that really gets me into a drinking mode, yes i know, almost any 4/4 rhythm gets me in a drinking mode, but, this time its different, i dont know, maybe its because ive been so lazy lately that this type of music gets me going, hey, i dont know, but let me tell you, this is not one of those “mmm its good” kind of sets, no sir, its a damn good set, and its by one of my favorite producers at the time, so please give a round of applause to the one the only::::

Noah Pred

Producing dance music and performing live for over nine years, Noah Pred emerged from Vancouver’s underground as a sought-after techno DJ with a sophisticated sound and unique style. Devoted to authentic and soulful strains of techno in all its permutations, Noah’s sound continues to evolve while remaining firmly driven by the dancefloor.

Since his first records came out in the late nineties, his productions have received international support, appearing on charts from renowned talent such as Carl Cox, Cari Lekebusch, and Laurent Garnier. His subsequent 12-inch EPs and remixes have continued to garner critical acclaim while moving dancefloors across the globe, appearing on playlists from Tokyo to Glasgow.

As a DJ and live act, Noah has travelled throughout Europe and North America, performing alongside such diverse artists as Funk D’Void, James Holden and Cobblestone Jazz. After working as assistant A&R for Consigned Recordings in Montreal, Noah applied his label skills by spearheading the Pacific Technics project, a triple-vinyl compilation benefiting Amnesty International. The Pacific Technics CD, selected and mixed by Noah Pred, was released in June 2004.

Exploring his compositional versatility, Pred launched the Shen project later that year. Geared towards digital downtempo, electronic dub and emotive IDM, Shen has provided Noah with a creative outlet for productions that roam beyond the borders of clubland. His debut Shen full-length, ‘Outlines’, was released on Native State Records in December 2006.

Now relocated to Toronto where he holds a DJ residency with the Fukhouse crew, Noah currently runs two record labels from his studio headquarters - Metapath Recordings: and Sentient Sound: Delving into the potentials of field recording and integrated sound design, Noah’s latest techno full-length on New Kanada, Ecocosm, was released in August 2007.

Most recently, he’s launched a new digital label, Thoughtless Music, with friend and long-time collaborator Evan Marc.

Hello everyone! As promised here is another edition of The Weekend hot off the press for you listening enjoyment. This mix includes some of my favorite productions of 2008. The label Plastic City has been absolutely on fire this year and as you can see this mix opens with FIVE of their releases from this calendar year. Hello music lovers! I hope you have bundling up and keeping warm as we are now in the month of October. My how this year has flown by! It’s been a great year for music and I fully intend to use the last three months of the year to showcase more of the great music that I love and hopefully you will all enjoy. Athan was born in the city of Thessaloniki on 29th of May 1975. From his childhood started listening to Classic Rock legends & New Wave bands such as Depeche Mode, House Of Love,Kraftwerk, OMD etc.At the age of 13 he had his first proffessionall experience as a dj. A few years later in 1995 his passion about Trip Hop/Electronica evolved. Influences from bands like Portishhead, Massive Attack, Unkle, Morcheeba etc. helped Athan to open new horizons in his dj style. During 1995 – 2001 he worked for several Radio Stations of his hometown Thessaloniki & became more popular from his successful radio shows. Getting more into Electronica his passion about Progressive sounds grew more & more and finally became a passion in his life.
Since 2001 he works as a Resident Dj in clubs & travel around Greece as a guest Dj in big parties. Everyday of his life is dedicated to Music.The past 2 years Athan supports many Greek producers promoting their tracks in every appearance. In 2008 got his first On line radio show & had many dj sets as a guest in the most popular Internet Radio Stations of the world playing with popular producers and Djs.
